FOR APPLICATION


You'll need these documents to apply for a study permit:

  • Passport
  • Letter of Acceptance from a College/University
  • English Proficiency Test Report
  • GIC in a Canadian Bank
  • Letter of Explanation
  • Tuition Fee Payment Receipt
  • Medical Exam Report
  • Marksheets

You may also need an attestation of issuance of your Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ) a custodian declaration (minors only), or other documents.

TO ENTER CANADA


You'll need all the documents that you submitted while applying for a study permit. Other than those you'll need the following:

  • A valid Study or Temporary Resident VISA
  • Enrollment Letter from College/University
  • Health Insurance

After you land in Canada you will receive the Study Permit (and Work Permit if you opted for a co-op based course). Be sure to check it throughly while at the airport, and ask any questions regarding the permit from the immigration officer.

AFTER ENTERING


Now that you've reached Canada there are a few more steps to be taken. Don't miss out on the following steps:

  • Get your SIN
  • Activate your GIC
  • Activate your Health Insurance
  • Collect your Student ID Card
  • Buy a new SIM card if you haven't already
